Duties and Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, set, and anchor framing at various heights and distances to ensure structural integrity in accordance with design and blueprints
- Utilize tools such as, tape measure, impact drills, snips, ropes,safety anchors, lanyards, hand seamers, mechanical seamers, and other basic construction tools to accomplish each project
- Assist team members in performing daily tasks and duties to help complete jobs on time and within budget
- Install metal, inspect, service and/or repair commercial roofs
- Lay Metal Panels across metal framing by connecting clips
- Measure, cut, bend, set, screw down, tighten, and connect material and other components during various stages of the completion process
- Install metal, inspect, service and/or repair commercial roofs
- Remove old or damaged material
- Install new materials, such as asphalt shingles, solar tiles, slate, or metal
- Follow all OSHA regulations
- Follow local building codes related to pitch and other roof characteristics
- The ability to use hand and power tools
- Interact positively with customers and ensure property is well maintained.
- Additional duties as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Metal roofing and/or construction knowledge
- The ability to work in different environmental conditions.
- Ability to work at great heights
- Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to climb ladders and maintain their balance while carrying heavy materials
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred candidate
- Proficient in the safe handling and utilization of ladders
- Working knowledge in commercial roofing and/or construction
